Hibbs Homes: Quality Homes for a Quality Life

"When we decided to do a major addition/ remodel to our home, it was definitely with a certain degree of trepidation for the obvious reasons. When we first met Kim Hibbs, the lead contractor of Hibbs Homes, we really didn't even talk too much about the specifics of the job. Instead, he was more interested in learning about us and our expectations. In hindsight, it was this initial meeting that put Kim in the forefront even before we got all the bids for the job. We realized that he was all about maintaining open lines of communication, a major requiste in a project of our size. When Kim's bid came in at the most competitively priced and most detailed, we felt we were in a win-win situation, and it was an easy decision.

Being complete novices, we had no idea where to start as far as picking out things for the addition, but Kim was with us through every step of the project - setting us up for all the appointments we needed. His subcontractors were all very friendly and attentive to detail. Kim was also on site almost daily overlooking every detail. You hear about horror stories getting a hold of your contractor during the project, but there was no such thing with Hibbs Homes. As stated before, communication for us was key, and Hibbs Homes met that expectation 100% of the time. At each major step in the project, Kim kept us up to date on the budget with excel spreadsheets showing where each dollar went. We had a lot we wanted to accomplish on a tight budget. He went out of his way to help us find areas that we could save money in order to accomplish everything we wanted to do. Having read through numerous articles detailing the need to budget in an extra "10-15%" for overrun costs, we were extremely surprised that the final numbers were spot on with Kim's initial proprosed budget. After finishing the project in the proposed time frame, we now have a practically new home that we couldn't be more happy with. If we had to do it all over again, Hibbs Homes would still be our first choice, and will be the first choice if we ever need a contractor again in the future."

We were in and out of the house many times while they were working and it was obvious each sub took a lot of pride in the work he preformed.

Kim's estimate at the beginning of our project was right on. He took the time to really bid out every piece of the project so that we felt comfortable that the budget he set was accurate. We very much wanted to stay on budget and Kim made sure we did. There were no surprises."
