Wordless Wednesday: Basement Living Beauty

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

When Hibbs Homes was asked to finish the basement for the parents of a past build client we worked with them to take their basement above and beyond the traditional game and playrooms that are traditional stock for basement finishes. We helped them build in an elegant dining area and kitchen off of their flex room, as well as a  bathroom, and wine cellar under the staircase.

Wordless Wednesday: A Better Way to Insulate Your Home

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Energy efficiency can be measured in inches- two inches to be exact. In place of standard 2×4's this Hibbs Home was built with 2×6's. That extra two inches allows for more insulation, thus a higher R-Value, or resistance to heat flow.

Add to that some blown-in cellulose insulation and you have a cozy, energy efficiency home.
